Here we are in the middle of November, with the holidays fast approaching! Thanksgiving is Nov. 24. During the week of Thanksgiving, we are shifting our order pick up to TUESDAY, Nov. 22, between 2 and 4 p.m. Please mark your calendars! Customers who are ordering baked goods from Miller Pye that week can make arrangements to meet Nelda Miller on Wednesday, Nov. 23, so that those items will be fresh for your Thanksgiving table.

The weather finally feels like Fall, doesn’t it? What a blessed relief from the heat and humidity of Summer! The days are getting shorter and the nights longer as another year is winding down. Now is the season for apples, pumpkins, cranberries, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, hot cocoa, and chili. At our house, we are looking forward to the holidays.

As you begin to plan your own holiday celebrations, please keep The Wednesday Market in mind as a source for many of the items needed for splendid feasts. We have beef, pork, and poultry producers, as well as farmers offering dairy products and eggs. We have vegetables to serve as side dishes.
