The Wednesday Market is open for orders. Please place your order by 10 p.m. Monday. Orders are ready for pick up between 3 and 6 p.m. Wednesday. See the website for this week’s product offerings. Here is the link: https://wednesdaymarket.locallygrown.net/market
As you know, the Market was cancelled this past Wednesday due to the ice and snow. Any orders that were placed last week were DELETED from the system. Please place your order for products that you want for this week. In other words, this is a normal ordering cycle (as long as the weather cooperates and no other disaster presents itself!).
Safety is a priority for the managers of The Wednesday Market. If you have been a longtime customer, you may recall a Wednesday afternoon a year or so ago upon which there were tornado warnings throughout our area just as pick up time was about to start. We delayed the Market pick up for a day. Doing so inconvenienced a customer or two, but we felt holding the Market in a tornado was just too risky.
We encourage our Wednesday Market community to pay special attention to the weather when bad conditions are forecast. We will do our best to make the right decision as to whether to go ahead with our regular schedule or postpone or cancel the Market, and send out an email blast to notify everyone.
We are hopeful that Old Man Winter is going to ease up on us soon, and that we will have a warm and happy Spring. Until then, thank you for your support of locally grown agriculture and for buying locally.
